Meet Our Team

Alana Wood

Clinical Supervisor
Speech Language Pathologist

Alana was born and raised in the Bay Area in Northern California. She received her B.S. in Communication Science and Disorders from CSU East Bay in 2014, and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from University of the Pacific in 2016.

After completing her final internship at Mission Hospital, she decided to permanently relocate to beautiful Orange County, CA, and began working as a therapist at ASPS inc. in 2017. Alana enjoys working with clients of all ages from toddlers in early intervention language therapy to adults working on fluency.

She has experience working with the following populations and disorders: speech/language delay, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency (stuttering), children and adults with autism, apraxia, aphasia, dysarthria, and dysphagia.

Brooke joined the staff at Abington Speech Pathology Services Inc., Laguna Hills Clinic in May 2015 as our Patient Care Scheduling Coordinator. Her friendly and cheerful voice is the first one you will hear when you call our office. Brooke looks forward to helping you with scheduling your child’s appointments.
 

Brooke was born and raised in Mission Viejo, California and now resides in Lake Forrest with her boyfriend Brenen. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with Brenen, her family and playing with her 2 dogs, Copper and Oliver.

Victoria (Tori) Madden

Speech Language Pathologist

Tori was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She received her B.S. in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the University of Oregon in 2019, and her masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Chapman University in 2022. Tori has been a part of the ASPS team since August 2022!
 
Tori enjoys working with children of all ages and watching them grow and develop their speech, language, and pragmatic skills. Out of the office, Tori enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and hanging out in the sun.
 

Mary Chalaby

Speech Language Pathology Assistant- SLPA

Mary joined our team at the clinic in June 2021. Mary is a California licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and is currently seeking her Master’s Degree at California State University Northridge.
Mary has a background in languages that also includes ancient languages such as; Coptic, Latin and Greek. Her current areas of interest include working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations. She also enjoys working with children while creating a fun learning environmen
During her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and baking
Layla was born and raised in Mission Viejo, California. She earned her post-baccalaureate certificate in Communication Disorders and Sciences from California State University, Fullerton, before receiving her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from San Diego State University in 2026.
After completing her final clinical internship at Abington Speech Pathology Services, Layla joined the practice as a speech-language pathologist. She has a special passion for early intervention and enjoys helping infants, toddlers, and school-aged children build strong communication skills while partnering closely with families throughout the therapy process.
Layla has experience working with children and adults with speech and language delays, articulation and phonological disorders, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, apraxia, aphasia, dysarthria, and dysphagia. She also has experience supporting bilingual families and using AAC to promote functional communication.
